Doud House
The Doud House story actually began in 1948 when Ralph and Doris Doud began taking care of WWII widows and their children. Twenty years later, 1968, Ralph and Doris felt God’s calling to expand so they purchased nine acres near Elizabeth, Colorado and began building with just a shovel, pick, and a five gallon bucket. Over the course of the next 30 years and several home expansions, the Doud House was called home by four biological children, eight adopted children, and more than 80 foster children. In the summer of 2003, the Doud House was donated to UnbridledACTS.

From 2003 – 2006 the Doud House underwent a massive renovation. Today, the Doud House is a newly renovated 4,500+ square foot home located on 6.5 peaceful acres. The house is complete with four guest rooms, a shared living room, beautiful kitchen, a learning/crafts center, counseling office, fitness area, and a three bedroom, two bathroom ministry home for the host family.

The Doud House primary purpose is to provide a residential community for pregnant women age(s) sixteen and above who are in need of a loving home in which to stay. We are passionate about serving the pregnant mothers' spiritual, emotional and physical needs.

What Happens After My Baby Is Born?
After your baby is born, we help you carry out your predetermined plan for your child whether you decide to parent your child or if adoption is right for you. For each child born a tree will be planted along with a plaque so that children born as a result of the ministry can return and see the fruits of their mother’s choice of life.

Do I Have To Pay To Be A Guest Of The Doud House?
No, each guest of the Doud House will be a member of the Doud House family. There is no cost to our guest. Support comes by way of outside Corporate and individual charitable contributions.
